Brexit website makes it easier to email MP demanding they vote against Theresa May’s deal

Anyone who does not want to leave the European Union can urge their MPs to vote against Theresa May’s Brexit deal with this quick online tool.

It’s ridiculously simple to use and within a few seconds allows users to find their local politician and send a pre-written email.

The letter urges MPs to vote against the Prime Minister’s withdrawal agreement next Tuesday and support the revocation of Article 50.

It was made for the ‘digital generation’ as a way to counteract the amount of older Brexit supporters who were writing to their MPs.

The tool was created by Glasgow-based digital product studio Neu and launched today.

Neu product manager Richard Phillips-Kerr said: ‘The government and party whips are compelling MPs to vote ‘on behalf of their constituents’ when considering the PM’s deal.

‘That gave us the idea for Exit Brexit. We wanted to give constituents a really simple vehicle to directly express their anger and dissatisfaction.

‘The digital generation are less likely to contact their MPs in traditional ways like writing a letter or during constituency sessions.

‘We built exitbrex.it to be the quickest and easiest way for people to let their MP know how they feel about Brexit.’

Emails will be sent to the MPs direct from the sender’s email address, and not from a server.
