The international break has taken its toll on a number of Premier League players and there are host of Fantasy Football stars with the dreaded yellow – or worse, red – explanation mark next to their name.

But fear not, the managers have delivered their pre-match press conferences and we’ve got a full round-up of all the latest injury news for the biggest players in Fantasy Football – and you may not have to transfer out as many players as you thought!

Anthony Martial

The Frenchman withdrew from France’s international squad with a thigh injury and is only listed as having a 75% chance of playing for Manchester United against Crystal Palace.

But Martial returned to full training this week and looks set to start on Saturday. Jose Mourinho confirmed as much at his pre-match briefing, saying: ‘He worked really hard and he’s ready for tomorrow, he plays for tomorrow.’ Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Jesse Lingard are also fit.

Matt Doherty

The Irishman is the seventh most-owned defender in FPL this season thanks to his marauding displays from right wing-back for Wolves, but picked up a facial injury against Arsenal last time out.

That caused him to miss Ireland’s latest matches, though Nuno Espirito Santo says he has recovered: ‘Doc had a problem with his eye, one week he took care of it and now he’s much better, almost 100% ready to go.’

Kieran Trippier

Only Marcos Alonso and Andrew Robertson have more owners than Trippier, though he has been ruled out of action until December with a thigh injury, missing games against Chelsea and Arsenal.

A fitness update from Spurs confirmed: ‘Trippier continues rehabilitation and is aiming to return to training before the end of the month.’

Mendy and Bernardo Silva

Benjamin Mendy’s price has already dropped and it’s probably time to sell given that Pep Guardiola confirmed he will miss the next 10-12 weeks after undergoing knee surgery.

Bernardo Silva’s problem is significantly less severe, though he will miss Saturday’s game against West Ham with a knock.

Zaha and Wan-Bissaka

Roy Hodgson has confirmed that Wilfried Zaha is back to full fitness: ‘Zaha is over the injury and has been training all week, it’s the same with James Tomkins. They were both out for a time due to knocks but both have recovered.’

Hodgson did not name Aaron Wan-Bissaka among his injury doubts, though the young right-back was not spotted in training on Friday.

Lacazette and Aubameyang

Although both Alexandre Lacazette and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang withdrew from their national squads, the pair have been in full training all week.

Unai Emery confirmed at his pre-match press conference that neither player is in danger of missing the match: ‘Today all the players trained OK. Only Danny [Welbeck] who has an injury and also Nacho Monreal now is not OK for Sunday.’

Gylfi Sigurdsson

Gylfi Sigurdsson – who has five goals this season – picked up an ankle problem following a ferocious tackle from Jorginho, causing him to miss the international break, but manager Marco Silva says he is ‘okay and available for selection this week’.

Maddison and Maguire

Both players missed Leicester’s last match against Burnley and were subsequently left out of England’s squad for the international break, though Claude Puel will have one of them back.

‘Maddison come back [in the] training session, we will see tomorrow, but I think he can be in the squad. For Maguire, it’s too early, we will see next week.’ Jamie Vardy also faces a late fitness test.
