Green and Durant clashed as the Warriors fell to their third defeat of the regular season when they faced the LA Clippers on Monday night.
Durant is thought to have been annoyed by Green’s failure to pass to him, or any of his team-mates, as the clock ran down.
And Green supposedly responded by bringing up the small forward potentially entering free agency at the end of the season.
The incident resulted in Green being suspended without pay for the Golden State Warriors’ subsequent match against the Atlanta Hawks.
And there has been plenty said about what went on, with claims the disagreement continued post-match.
James was asked about Green and Durant coming together prior to the Los Angeles Lakers’ win over the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night.
However, he revealed he was none the wiser as to why his two USA international colleagues had shared a heated exchange.
“I have no idea what happened,” LeBron James admitted.
“I was actually watching the game and I saw them get into the altercation on the bench but I have no idea what happened after that.”
James then hit out at interest in Green and Durant’s argument, suggesting it’s nobody’s business but theirs.
“None of us know; it’s all speculation,” James said.
“I am not one to comment on what happened when I’m not there.
“I can’t comment on that, and I won’t. That is between those guys.
“I think it’s unfair everyone wants to have a comment on something they just don’t really know about.”
The Warriors are due to return to action on Thursday night when they travel to the Houston Rockets.
Green, Durant and co. will face James’ Lakers at the Oracle Arena on Boxing Day.
