Sheffield United could return to the top of the Championship with a win over rivals Sheffield Wednesday this evening.
Chris Wilder’s team have dropped off the pace in recent weeks but are still firmly in the hunt for promotion after a lightning start to the season.
Meanwhile, Wednesday are struggling down in 17th without a clean sheet all season and have lost their last four consecutive matches.
However, the Owls are set to be boosted by the return of a key attacking pair who could kick-start their campaign.
The Blades have Chris Basham available for the 130th derby at Bramall Lane following the defender’s one-match ban last week while Mark Duffy will also hope to feature.
The winger missed the 1-0 defeat to Nottingham Forest last time out with a hip problem but is in contention to make his comeback against the Owls.
Jake Wright has returned to training and could also be considered for selection while David McGoldrick is expected to return to the starting XI.
Wilder’s side have been excellent at home this season, winning five and drawing two since losing to Swansea on the opening day of the season.

(3-4-1-2) Henderson; O’Connell, Egan, Basham; Freeman, Fleck, Norwood, Stevens; Duffy; McGoldrick, Sharp
It’s a different story on the blue side of Sheffield with the Owls languishing in the bottom half of the table.
Wednesday have just five wins this season and have only beaten their city rivals once in the past six league meetings.
Goals have been a problem for Jos Luhukay’s side but both Fernando Forestieri and Marco Matias could return this evening.
Both were originally not expected back until after the international break but are set to offer attacking alternatives for the under-fire manager.
Michael Hector should return to the side after being dropped for the 4-0 defeat to Norwich with the Owls are expected to revert to a back five.
Josh Onomah is in danger of dropping out while Adam Reach could start from a deeper position in a narrow midfield.
Steven Fletcher will get the nod up front and will be partnered by one of either Atdhe Nuhui or Lucas Joao.
